Walk on the #1 Beach in the USA
Let's get started with a gimme that we wrote an entire blog on - Long Walks on Siesta Beach!
You just can't beat a long walk on the beach with just the two of you, holding hands and sharing thoughts. Let the waves crash at your feet and feel the cool Gulf breeze blowing through your hair!
Food Tour Date in Gulf Gate
Looking to sample food & drinks from all over the World? Head to Gulf Gate to try delicacies from all over the globe!
Choose your own food tour by picking restaurants, bakeries & grocery stores that interest you.
Gulf Gate has been referred to as "Sarasta's Epcot." Countries represented include Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Scandinavia as well as numerous Asian countries! Saturdays are an excellent day to find all of the restaurants open. They tend to be closed Sundays and Mondays, especially during the summer.
Gulf Gate is located less than a mile over the south bridge of Siesta Key! Make sure to also check out wonderful shops like CROP Juice (Coldpressed Juice, Organic Smoothies, Vegan Food) Wild Ginger Apothecary, Heavenly Cupcakes & Ham Heaven and Devil Dogs!
Dinner IN the Movie
Check out CineBistro just over Siesta Key's north bridge for high end cuisine and drinks during a movie. You can't go wrong with fancy food during a movie of her choosing!
Night Out on the Town in Downtown Sarasota
Downtown Sarasota has a very nice collection of places to enjoy adult beverages. Make sure to put your best dress on! Enjoy a night out in a classy setting at places like Clasico & Pangea.
Kayaking Tour of Lido Key's Mangrove Tunnels

Shark Tooth Hunting
Everyone likes to collect shells on the beach, but what about fossilized shark teeth? You don't have to leave Sarasota County to find them by the hundreds in Venice! Venice Beach, Caspersen Beach & Nokomis Beach on Casey Key are great spots to find these 5-15 million year old fossils in the surf!
Dinner Date at Owen's Fish Camp
Owen's Fish Camp is where us locals go when we want to treat our significant others! The food is excellent and the atmosphere is unique and fun! Every trip to Owen's is a special night out!
Sarasota and Bradenton are home to some great breweries that make craft beer right on site! Our favorites are JDubs and Calusa Brewing, both within 5 miles of Siesta Key. Try a beer flight and enjoy some good Florida craft beer! May we humbly recommend you try the Poolside Kolsch or Passion Wheat from JDubs and The Healer from Calusa Brewery?
O'Leary's for Sunset
Watch the sun set over Sarasota Bay from O'Leary's Tiki Bar! Relax right on the shore and take in a beautiful sunset with a delicious mixed drink!
